There are several ways you can connect with the Prime minister.

First, you may be able to meet him in person. Click here to visit his National Party MP webpage and look for the list of Party events he'll be attending. Your local National MP may also be able to invite you along to more informal events.

You can also comment directly on videos, media releases, speeches and other similar content on this website. Where comments are permitted, you'll see either a comments link at the bottom of the page (click on that if you do) or a form at the bottom of the comment stream - just fill that form in and press the "submit comment" button. Comments are moderated, so don't expect to see your contribution right away.

For the record, we won't accept comments from spammers or trolls - and the use of profanity or blatantly derogatory remarks is prohibited. We ask that comments be reasonably diplomatic and remain on topic. We realise that many of the issues you will be commenting on are very emotionally charged and we are happy to hear any side of any argument - but this is not a place to hurl invective or undertake arguments with other commenters.

Finding material on which to comment is simple. You can find the latest content by type - just look for the "Get the latest" section on the right side of each page - and there are indexes of all content available through the navigation bar at the top of the page. You can also browse for content by clicking on the 'comment on' headlines at the top of the right hand column. That section contains the latest comment-enabled posts.

You can keep up with new material - and even comment developments - by "subscribing" to a particular section of the website using RSS (Really Simple Syndication) tools, as well. Those are native to many current browsers - and if you're not familiar with RSS, we recommend the excellent tutorial provided by the BBC.

You can also connect with John on his Facebook supporter page and his Twitter account.

Then, of course, you can email John or connect with him through his electorate office in Helensville at (09) 412 2496 if you are a constituent.
