Key Notes: Special Facebook Supporters Edition
I've just launched a special Facebook page to give us yet another channel of communication.
The page is a place where you can register as a supporter of our campaign to take back the Government, one on which you can leave public messages of encouragement as we move toward that goal.
There is a lot on the page already. You'll find special feeds of news stories, my latest videos, photographs from our Flickr photostream and more.
As time goes on, we will be adding content to the page to make it easier for you to keep up with our progress and to share your thoughts.
I realise that many of you may not be members of the Facebook community and membership is not required to view the page or use most of its features.
I hope to see you there and I'm looking forward to reading your messages!
Best regards,
John Key

Video Journal 30 - On bail reward for return of stolen medals
20 February 2008. John criticises the decision to release a member of the notorious Headhunter gang on bail as part of the negotiations for the return of 96 war medals - including the famous Upham Victoria Cross and Bar - stolen in December. The gang member, Daniel Crichton, was in Mt Eden Prison on drugs charges. John closes with a reminder that the Helensville A&P Show is on this Saturday, 23 February, in Auckland. The annual event is easily the biggest event on Helensville's calendar and a great day of family fun and entertainment. For more, check out www.helensvilleshowgrounds.co.nz

NEWS: Key wishes Katherine Rich well
"I greatly regret losing such a talented member of the National Party Caucus," says Mr Key.
"However, I understand and accept Katherine's reasons for her decision and I wish her well for the future.
"Although she will stay on until the election, Katherine is a big loss. Given her talents, I hope that she will contribute in some way to public life in the future.
"The education portfolio will be taken over by Anne Tolley, who will move to 10th spot on the front bench from 16th and relinquish her role as Chief Whip. She will retain her Associate Welfare (CYFS) portfolio.
"I have a great deal of confidence in Anne's abilities. She has proven herself since the time she re-entered Parliament in 2005.
"I'm sure she will do a good job in the education portfolio, an area I am giving priority to in the run-up to the election.
"Associate Education Spokesman Allan Peachey, a former Principal of Rangitoto College, will be promoted to Deputy Education Spokesman.
"Caucus this morning confirmed Nathan Guy as the new Chief Whip, and Chris Tremain as the new Junior Whip." Tweet
