RADIO: KiwiFM interview on fireworks and tax
07 November. John talks with radio host Wallace Chapman about the "inevitable" ban on fireworks, saying it may take a few years but the mood in Parliament appears to be shifting in that direction. The conversation then moves to tax cuts and John points out that, while it is likely Labour will deliver some form of tax cuts in the next Budget, their history on the issue makes it clear that there is no real commitment to cutting taxes and that the motivation for a step in that direction now is purely political.
