This is all very nice John, but I would be very surpirsed if the policies you have revealed so far will win you this election. Like yourself I have been burgled in recent times. Nobody really cares anymore, lets face it. My request to you is to start fighting a proper election campange now before its to late. Give the Kiwis what they want most " a decent night of sleep ". Hundred of thausonds are suffering because our streets are terrorized by modified cars with very loud mufflers. Stop that and you will gain massive support. The government made it stand very clear recently on this issue. As far as labour is concerned there is no problem and everything stays as it is. The majority of kiwis drive decent cars with factory equipped excausts systems. A growing minority, with the present governments support, drive the majority of kiwis out of sleep. I sincerely hope you will address this matter soon and give kiwis your clear policy on that matter. In any way I wish you best of luck for the upcoming election. Regards Robert

I agree wholeheatedly with Robert.A watertight promise to rid our streets of noisy cars will win you the next election John. And the amount of lost productivity from sleep deprived individuals, the fall of residential property values on noisy streets is phenominal. On a wider scale,we have a driving license test which is a doddle,we allow drivers to drive on our roads without third party insurance, and we allow drivers to modify their cars and believe that driving on public roads is some kind of sport.

HI there I am someone who tends towards national because I really dont like labour!!!! I have a constructive comment in regards to your website for national. I think to make things easier for people to check your policy you should have a single place someone like myself can go to read a summary of all policies. I dont want to read all the details and have to click into every policy, if I read a summary and want to read more I will clickon the more detailed summary. I hope this change is made as it will help people to make informed decisions without getting put off because of a very overwhelming list of links to different policiy pages! Thanks and all the best for the election.

There are lots of different types of victims and I support offenders paying for their crimes so I fully support your views but what policies will be in place to stop small business owners being the victims of government. As is well known a lot of people want the state to provide for them and the politicians who promise the most are the ones that get elected. The people get what they want and the burden on the most productive members of society increases. I feel I'm a victim of promises. As a small business owner I'm forever getting hit with compliance fees for the dishonest or stupid, the latest being a disciplinary fee from the Plumbers Gas Fitters and Drainlayers Board. $50.00 per licence per year and for what, so this Government appointed Board can discipline a few plumbers/gasfitters/drainlayers. This is yet another example of the honest paying for the wrongs of a few. Make the dishonect pay and lay off the honest.

I agree, make the mongrels pay, and while we are at it, how about ensuring that cold blooded killers never see the light of day again. Some people can not or will not be rehabilitated, so why waste money on them.
