VIDEO: Journal 38 - John Responds

27 May. John thanks participants in his social networking intitiatives and responds to comments left on his Facebook and video blog channels. First up, John responds to Bex Gibbons and Abraham Gibson on the importance of social media and cyberspace. John also thanks Abraham for coming along to the recent 40 Below event in Auckland. Next, John responds to concerns raised on johnkey.co.nz by Donna Cole about tax cuts. Donna wrote, "Thanks to Labour I pay about $20 more a week in petrol taxes and they are so generous they will give me $16 of that back!" John tells Donna that the National tax cut program will be rolled out early in the campaign, that he's confident she'll do better under National and goes into a bit of why that will happen. On justice, john responds to comments from Zeb Ahmed and Tanya Stubs about the Kahui twins and the system in general. Finally, John talks about having just visited an exciting new firm headquarted in Christchurch, Pacific Simulators. Earlier this month, Facebooker and General Manager Steve Clarke invited John to try the flight simulator out and Facebook supporter (and project manager) Scott Calder was John's "First Officer" on the "flight". Finally, John notes that a recent story from the ODT, carried in the NZ Herald, has led to a large bump in the number of Facebookers signing on as friends and supporters. "Lets see if we can kick through 4,000."

Hi As a student i am very interested to know what your policy is on interest free student loans. Will National be making any changes to the scheme currently in place? Thanks.

Respected Sir, Hello, Subject:Drink drive. In order to completely stop the drink drive accident in NZ is that we have to introduce the alcohol testing equipment in each car/truck/bus at the expense of the owner at cheap price,so that when the driver sits in the car the car sensor equipment will ask for test and if the sensor are satisfied then only the car keys will operate just like when we open the car doors with power keys when we are standing away from car .This will be the great revolution in this field.I am a supporter of National Party. Looking forward for your response. Thanks, Regards, vivek gupta (bobby) 021 1825 857
