Hi John Key, Winston Peters I cannot comment on. The privileges Committee and the SFO will sort my confusion out. However, in Winston Peters defence, I must say that he is one of a few MPs that actually is trying to do something to end the scam that is Section 70 of the Social Security Act. This appalling legislation deprives those of us of our overseas government managed pensions before entitlement to NZ Super. You John Key have ducked and dived the issue. You obviously support this theft of the elderly. So climb off your high horse. You are in danger of becoming a true Labour type politician. Labour despite 3 damming reports still continue this elderly abuse. Not too sure whether to vote for a Party that bucks the issue. Bob Newcombe Nelson

Yes john its about time you took the kid gloves off both to the Labour Party and to the leak in your own party. Fight the Teflon Lady and her cronies with out the gloves and Find the leak fast and seal it for good. Dont let Labour get away with it Fight Dirty. Cheers Rodney

The current situation with the 'leaked' documents are another gutless dig at the National party. As a National voter, your leadership looks to be far better than all your previous collegues, however this is getting overshadowed by incompetence by some National MP's. I realise that this is a generalisation, but when Labour are scoring cheap shots from mistakes like the secretly recorded conversations, your leadership is being knocked. The most common comment discussed when talking politics with friends and family is Law and Order, in which Labour has a terrible track record, especially with Corrections Dept. Labour members (including Winston), and particularly (Mr.) Helen Clark, have made many stupid mistakes over the last few terms and they seemed to be forgoten too quickly. Go for the throat as soon as the throw something at you, there needs to be an immediate an strong response, either from yourself, or one of your members with more presence. Please don't let these left wing idiots crawl their way back up the polls. I respect your Leadership of the party and believe you will make an outstanding P.M. so get out there and kick some liberal, nancy boy labour ass. Good luck, Sean.

Hi John I think that everyone realises what a two-faced scoundrel Winston is by now. There's the danger that he could (and probably is) gaining sympathy from being hounded every day. I would recommend that you leave him alone to sink in the mess of his own making and that you get out with the good news about what National is going to do for New Zealanders to stop them hurting like we all are at the moment from rising prices, a credit crunch and rising unemployment. We want some good news. It's well overdue. Ian

Hi John Hi John During the period Labour WAS in office their forceful social engineering resulted in legislation that the majority of New Zealanders don’t agree with. Examples: Smacking bill Legalising brothels Etc …etc. What are you going to do to change these?

I SO want National to win this election . I just can't want it any more than I do right now but what is it with these leaks?? I've just read about another one on the Herald website. Can you hurry up and deal with whatever toxic element (either in or outside your ranks ) who is undermining you. Forget about being like Obama. We need more Sarah Palin from you I think!!

Oh Judith, you are so correct. It is dreadful to watch the National Party lose all of its advantages as it continuously fails to act. There is something rotten in the barrel and if you cannot find it and root it out John, it will not matter whether I vote for you or not - you will lose and you will deserve it.

Watching Close up. For God's sake John, attack Helen. She is deep in sh............t. You have to make the most of this. Come out fighting.......like she does!! Jo

I agree with the above comments to some extent. Is it that bad that Labour are releasing your policies for you? Kind of funny in a way and you are getting extra promotion of the policies for free!!. Good if you take advantage of the release in that way. Bad if you do not comment at all on the leaks because then you are seen to be either running a loose ship or start to look like johnney no mates ('scuse the pun). More important though I think is to really go for the jugular - as Judith, Micheal and Jo have said above. You were right with your statement along the lines of 'New Zealanders deserve better" but I think you need to be stronger and more personal and focused on HC. I'm not saying turn this into a personality based attack on HC, but certainly come out fighting. You are too remote at the moment and the billboards talk mainly to people who are already National supporters rather than those who have been under the influence of the Labour mantra for so long. There is a lot of sensible comment on this site - your own material and that of commentators and I wish more of it were reflected in the daily media - on TV, radio, print and on here. COME ON!

Helen Clark's behaviour is as unethical and appalling as Winston Peters and she must be called on this! She acknowledges that in Feb 08 she knew of the Owen Glenn donation to Winston Peters - yet she has kept this information hidden from the NZ public. Her response to journalists about this was that 'they hadn't asked her the right questions'. This is a totally unacceptable response and behaviour from the leader of a country. I urge National to focus on and continuously raise this underhanded behaviour - as taxpayers and citizens of this country, we deserve better. Any respect I held for Helen Clark has been systematically destroyed over the past couple of years - indeed Absolute Power corrupts absolutely. John, your polite and professional approach is to be admired, however this must be supplemented with visible strength and resolve to ensure a win in this election. As a business owner I am counting on this!

Wrong audience for this speech. YouTube demographics would really struggle - I'm a bit older than the average and found it a little (extremely) dull. Try to remember that there are a large number of under 40's out there. Unfortunately, listening to Talkback, the over 70's who voted for Winston last time aren't prepared to listen to truth so those under 40's will be a even bigger portion of your vote. In brief, leaders should sound passionate rather than sounding like they are providing figures to the financial board.

I couldn't agree more with those who are asking that the source of the policy leaks is found and stopped - quickly and forcefully! And I have to admit that John Key needs to start to take professional coaching to get more passion into his speeches and to let us see a strong and determined leader that we look up to and admire. John, you come across too much as the nice guy but wishy-washy - sorry.
