On the McGehan Close visit
On Saturday, 3 February, NZ National Leader John Key visited McGehan Close and talked with residents, many of whom felt unfairly singled out by him in his State of the Nation speech as examples of New Zealand's emerging "underclass." The visit was an eye-opener, for all concerned. Here, John looks back at the visit and shares some of the conclusions he has drawn from it. |
