Great maternity policies although I would love to see more efforts put into supporting parents in terms of parental leave. The current sum paid during paid parental leave is far too low and is only for 12 weeks. This is one of the reasons in my opinion that more and more people are moving off-shore. There are mums qualifying to take extended leave up to one year but simply can't afford to be home with baby without pay. More and more couples are faced with fertility issues because they leave having children too late simply because they feel they are not financially prepared to bring a child into this world. Please encourage these couples to have children earlier by helping them financially.
