How do I get to talk to John Key about the child support payment calcuations etc...I find this more soul destroying than any other area in this country, and I'm not alone, John has been focusing on a lot of the small business people trying to help them, put more money in their pockrets, but what about the liable parent, who just continually gets it taken off them every year at the review. I'm now assessed on $114,191 pa, last year it was $104,312 pa, but my living allowance only went from $13,587 to $14038..how unfair is that, and what parent needs $18028 plus tax to support one chld when they are full time employed and have a partner living with them The CS structure has held me back, I'm 53 and have been paying CS for 15 or more years, I think I wil be a cost to the state when I'm unable to work as a result of this. I previously tried to get help from the labour party, they were useless, hence I chnaged my vote at this election. I hope this note gets to someone who has some interest in this, I know there are admin reveiws that can be requsted, but if you have ever been party to one, you would not want to do another...very heavily weighted in the custodial parents favour....from the last one I tried to plough through, and lost, my oldest son no longer has contact with me, coming up 3 years solely because he saw where he was better off finaically, with his mother after she secured most of my disposable income through the review process. It's very frustrating , I work very hard but have no money to live off..credit cards maxed out as a result ... Heavy mortgae, but my child support is higher than my mortgage..I've only been able to buy a house in the last two years, with hardly a deposit so I'm paying for it right now with the way proprty values etc have dropped.
